FIS campaign card
On the occasion of World Diabetes Day on November 14, 2006, Forum Insulin Switzerland is launching a special card to prompt Federal Councillor Pascal Couchepin to support diabetics in their campaign to keep natural insulins available. You can print out the card here.
Our hearts are set on natural Insulin. How much longer?
This is the statement on the postcard with the heart monitor. Many diabetics rely on natural insulin.
While CP Pharma continues to sell its three products, Novo Nordisk has ceased production of all of their natural insulins. The remaining stock of the widely used Semilente MC suis has an expiration date of April 2007. There is no replacement product for this life-saving medication.
Forum for Insulin Switzerland is endeavouring to either import a comparable replacement from abroad or to get it manufactured in Switzerland. The support of the Swiss health authorities is vital for this.
